Probably one of the best and more unique experiences was the large scale real life meetings that the DMT crew orchestrated.

We met in DC for the first one and it was pretty crazy to see everyone in person. Even with webcams and pictures, seeing people in real life always adds perspective and understanding.

And do so in a reasonably healthy fashion, how do you manage to do that?

The game does seem largely designed to be as much of a time sink as possible, so especially for those of us that are goal oriented, how do you manage to play and have it not impact your life?

How did you do it?
I started by just taking a break.

I was sick of the drama and the drain on my life, and so I just took a little break.

Stopping playing for a little gave me space to examine why I played and what else I could do with the time. Once I started doing other things I found that I was much happier.

I very much regret not having sold my character when I stopped playing. If it had been very clear how to easily go about it, I may have managed.
